Client Requirement:
The client is a major international bank. They had recently taken over a number of other smaller banks and wanted to rationalise and integrate their estate in the city. Their strategy was to save money by standardising their office interiors and systems across all their offices, and to have cost surety by entering framework agreements with key suppliers and contractors. They also wanted to use the standardisation and framework agreements to cut lead in times for moves and changes and churn work type small projects.

Client: In-house CREAS Various architects and main contractors
Solution:

We tendered on a fairly open design brief but to a strict performance specification.

We offered various options within the systems so that certain areas or types of offices and meeting rooms met different criteria – rather than a “one size fits all
solution”.

We provided schedules of rates for individual parts of the various solid and glazed systems.  These schedules included large projects and rates for MAC & churn works whether during normal working hours or out of hours overnight and at weekends. These rates were freely available to all of the client’s in house and external professional teams for early budgeting purposes.

We offered a maximum 2 week lead-in for pre-fabricating systems for moves and changes and churn works (compared to up to 6 – 8 weeks for some competitors)

Outcome
Vosseler won the contract
The client saved money by standardising the systems across their estate
Lead in times for small works were cut to 2 weeks
The client’projects start and finish on time
We've kept the framework agreement and provided the service to the client for the last 15 years
