Vosseler UK are proud sponsors of Eastbourne Rugby Club U14s who have enjoyed a remarkable season, losing only once in 27 fixtures in both the 15 and 7-a-side version of the game while scoring over 1,000 points in the process!

The main target for the year was to obtain promotion to the top division in the Sussex Youth leagues and this we did!  Aside from this there was a full programme of friendlies and development games which ensured that anyone who joined in got a chance to play.

One highlight of the season was a game, under Eastbourne RFU’s new floodlights, where we entertained touring side North Dorset RFC.  On the subject of touring the boys enjoyed a weekend tour to Torquay where not only did they travel as Thor’s Vikings but brought home more silverware.  If you want to see what happens on an U14 rugby tour click here

Mike Chapman, Eastbourne U14s lead coach reflected on the season:

“The progress that this squad has made has been outstanding and is attributable to a whole series of factors, not just playing ability. We are very fortunate in having a very supportive parent group who have not only been brilliant on match days but who have made massive efforts in coaching, fund-raising and organisation throughout the year.”
